David Rees joins Thomas,Carroll swansea office In commercial insurance role.

Thomas, Carroll Group plc, the Welsh risk management to financial services group, has appointed David Rees as an Account Executive based at its new South West Wales Headquarters in Swansea.

David Rees, who has 35 years experience within the industry, joins Thomas, Carroll (Brokers), where he will responsible for the insurance and risk management requirements of corporate clients throughout the South West Wales region.

Mr Rees, a Swansea resident, joins the Chartered Insurance Brokers, from the Jelf Group plc which acquired local broker Thomas & Byrne, his previous employer in Swansea. He will be reunited with colleagues who made similar moves from Jelf to Thomas, Carroll over recent months.

Married with two children, David Rees, who began his career with Legal & General, said of his appointment:

"The opportunity to move back into an independent commercial broking team, which has the added professional status of being a Chartered Insurance Broker, appealed to me. The fact that the Robert Jones MBE has assembled a talented team here at the new regional headquarters was also a major incentive for joining."

As well as commercial insurance broking, the new Swansea office at the Tawe Business Village, provides Private Client Insurance, Chartered Independent Financial Advice and Health, Safety and Employment Law consultancy services.
