Brynmor supports Tros Gynnal in a Comtemporary Art Auction

Penarth was chosen to host the charity auction of contemporary Welsh art from an exhibition which has been touring Wales since the summer.

Taking place at The Washington Gallery, Penarth on November 10th, the fourth annual Tros Gynnal Plant Art auction featured the works of over 70 artists and raised £6,000. The event was officially opened by Jane Hutt, AM and rugby pundit Brynmor Williams, Director of event sponsors Thomas, Carroll Group plc. Cardiff-based Tros Gynnal supports vulnerable children and young people throughout Wales.

Brynmor Williams said "It is a pleasure to help celebrate the great wealth of artistic talent in Wales and to raise vital funds for the work of Tros Gynnal Plant."

Art works being auctioned included modern portraits and landscapes, sculptures, screen-prints, jewellery and ceramics.

Roger Bishop, Executive Director of Tros Gynnal Plant said: "We are grateful to our artists for so generously donating their works every year."
